We aka the whole class and year 7's did an all about me for our year 8 teacher, which I hope is a teacher that will help me with my learning and stuff (Im not saying that miss ob is a the bad teacher ever)

TimberNook

Timbernook was fun even when we made a bridge with tires and popcorn bags. the things we did was make a team which my team was the woodchucks, the warm up run, making a person from what ever you could find, morning tea and free time (not really)

the highlight of timber nook was when LOGAN fell in the river. Jk, the highlight was when i got the swing or whatever you can see in the picture what i was holding was when i jumped to the other side. and the first time i swung i landed on the tire bridge in the middle and got a bit muddy

Conceptual Statement:

I am going to design and make an emergency light that will provide light if the power's out.

My design is a triangle with a some wires to make it work, not to messy. I was happy that it work and happy with my design. Since i made it i've been waiting till the powers out to use it.

Well, my design is not finshed its still needs eight more till I finshed and maybe lead to to battery and hopefully soon I finsh it. My one is not to big and not to much LEDS only ten. Im really happy of my work in progress, soon it going to in my room and lights up at dark if i turn it on.

Inquiry Week Ten

1. You created 3 pieces of art in class. Which one were you most proud of and why?

My most favorite is the korowai because I think I did a really awesome job at doing my artwork it was my pastel work and I am really proud.

2. You were asked to submit your very own/individual piece of art that represented you and something you were inspired by. Explain in more detail about this…

I have not done one for the art exhibition because i didn’t have time.

3. You learnt some new skills during our term of art - cross hatching, colour composition, maori motifs, patterns and symmetry. Choose one and explain in more detail exactly what you learnt.

Colour composition is my favorite because I think that doing in order like using one colour making it lighter and darker to make a picture is really cool. A pure colour can be tinted, this makes the colour lighter. A pure  colour can be shaded, that makes the colour darker.

4. Our trip around Hawke’s Bay was to inspire us. Describe what your highlight was from this trip and why.

My favorite painting was the police painting because it had Ryan’s dad. Ryan is in Mr Billings class. It was an picture got on camera and painted. It was in Napier of the police dogs walking down with three.

5. If we carried out this Turangawaewae Inquiry topic again, what would you change/do differently?

I will make a piece of art made out of materials that I can find easy like Wood, Clay, Plastic, shells and feathers.

6. Identify one person's artwork that you are impressed by. Explain why?

I like Edan’s art because I really like the choice of the colours.

Strike Performance

Strike Performance was awesome, they were hitting the drums so much & hard that I thought that they were going to break them. They were a bit funny even when Reuben Said “Are you related to James Gordon” My friend Kahu in Hillary he was waving his arm so much that he didn’t get to answer his question. I hardly couldn’t hear in till we got out of the hall. when that happen I felt deaf. When they were playing the drums they were playing like BEASTS it was amazing.  When they were playing it made it felt like a earthquake happened. Everyone was yelling at Morning tea and it was so loud they were saying”THAT WAS AMAZING”. It even was amazing.

My dogs Deuce, Zoe and Sammy

Topic -My dogs, Deuce, Zoe and Sammy

My dog Deuce is fun to play with, he is about three feet tall, Deuce is a bullmastiff and he is 2 yrs old. Deuce likes to chase me around and he drinks so much.It’s crazy because he drinks a whole bucket of water. Deuce is so greedy, if you leave food on the table or the wheelie bin he will eat it and eat the wrapping as well. Deuce is fast and active because he is mostly chasing me around and sometimes play fights Zoe. In the mornings when open the door Deuce will make some weird sounds and when i say “do you want to go on the truck” or “who wants dog roll” Deuce will wag his small little tail.

When we went to the river Deuce is so tall that he can touch the bottom of the river sometimes when it’s shallow Zoe loves to go to the river when whenever i get in Zoe jumps in with me. Once sammy was on the wooden bridge that me and my friends go ealing on i got an eal before there was some watercress in the river that sammy thought was land she jump on it in and she went through  and there was no way to get up so lucky she had her collar on and she weighs like 13.6 i think and she is easy to grab.

Our Dog Zoe is a bullmastiff, She is four years old Zoe is two and a half feet tall. We call Zoe momo, momo does some weird smile like i have never seen a dog smile. She loves to go to the river when whenever i get in Zoe jumps in with me

We have a small dog named sammy she is zero and a half feet tall who is a jack russell and always get in trouble Because we keep the door open sometimes and she sleeps in side, right outside of the lounge and she sleeps on our clothes. Sammy runs away and she is so small. She kills birds and rats because she leaves dog roll on the floor and when the birds come to steal it she kills them, she kills rats she killed a huge rat once and it was so huge yesterday there was a rat that could of catched but she has a sore leg and she couldn't run but she would of catched.

\My Tiki Tour of New Zealand/Aotearoa

Learning Task: Complete your ideal kiwi road trip tiki tour.

Use a map of NZ and identify 4 places you would like to visit in either the North or South Island. You are leaving from home so you will need to consider your mode of transport and budget for this. You also will need accommodation and food. Money's no object but if you want to hitchhike or go to the backpackers for a new experience, remember to be safe. For each place, identify why you want to visit that place, whether it is a new experience of not, what you plan on doing while you are there and money you will need for leisurely activities.

I will book three motels, one night each in Rotorua, Taupo and Christchurch. I’ll buy a plane ticket  before I start heading on my holiday.

Day 1

I will be traveling from Hastings to Rotorua in my car. It will take two and a half hours to get there because when I went there two years ago, it took two and a half hours.

I will need $100 for gas, $250 for food, $500 for motel which is a total of $850.

In Rotorua I plan on getting a motel first, then put my stuff that i brought there and go hiking for two  hours.

After I go hiking, I will hire a bike because I like speeding on bikes and  I want to travel to the bottom of the mountain.

The last thing I will do is go to the  motorbike track and go motocrossing.

My trip sounds like a lot of fun, I hope it will be!

Day 2

When I leave Rotorua, I will start to head to Taupo. I might need $100 for gas. It will take one hour to travel there.

I will need $250 for food and $500 for a motel.

After unpacking, I’ll go for a swim at the hot pools, I like swimming. The pools are so cool because they are huge and deep.

Day 3

When I  leave Taupo, I’ll fly to Christchurch.  I will buy a ticket which will cost $230.

When I get there I will wander around the city and look at the big building.

Later I will get something to eat like Burger King or McDonalds or Fish n Chips.

Day 4

I’ll go back to Taupo and get my car. I’ll drive back to Hastings.
